Tim Sheehy B BA MBA Grad Dip FM ASCPA
Chairman
Tim Sheehy is Chief Executive Officer of Chartered Secretaries Australia (CSA), the peak body representing governance professionals in Australia.
Mr Sheehy joined CSA as chief executive in 1999. During his tenure, Mr. Sheehy has worked vigorously to promote adoption of governance best-practice.
Before joining CSA, he held distinguished roles in management consulting with McKinsey & Company and Anderson Consulting, in investment banking with Westpac and Swiss Bank Corporation and in education with the Securities Institute of Australia and the University of New England.
Mr Sheehy holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Administration from Loyola University of Los Angeles and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Management from the University of New England, Armidale.
Carole Rushford BA MA LMPRIA
Carole Rushford is a director of Rushford & Assocs Pty Ltd and a senior public relations practitioner who specialises in annual report management and education. Carole has extensive project management and writing experience in annual reporting and consults for government, corporate and non corporate organisations. She is Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Association of Victoria's Annual Report Awards, Past Chairman of both Deakin University's Academic Advisory Board for Public Relations and RMIT University's School of Business Public Relations Advisory Board.
Carole has supported ARA for 17 years as an Adjudicator from 1993, a Coordinator from 1997, and Board member from 1998.
John Horder AM LLB FCPA
John Horder is a consultant specialising in business interruption claims, product liability and recall and litigation support. John has supported the ARA for over 20 years, first as a member of the Panel of Advisers and then as a Coordinator. He joined the Board in 1995 and he was Chairman from 2001 to 2005.
Malcolm Duce MA FCA FCPA FIIA (Aust) MIPAA
Before his retirement from the public service in 2008, Malcolm was Principal Project Manager with the Queensland Department of Local Government, Planning, Sport and Recreation. Malcolm Duce initiated, and managed the Queensland Public Sector Annual Report Awards for 25 years until 2006. He has extensive experience in financial management and change management in the private sector with two large accounting firms in Australia and overseas, and in the public sector with the Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government. Malcolm became an ARA Adjudicator in 1995 and he was Co-ordinator for Division 3 (Local Government) from 1998 until 2009. He joined the Board in 2004.
Keith Roberts BCom(Hons) FCIS MAPS MPRIA
Chairman Awards Committee
Keith is a director of NFP Support Pty Ltd, a consultant to the not for profit sector focusing on governance and strategic restructuring. He was CEO of the Epilepsy Association to 2006 following 20 years in various management positions in CSR Limited to 1992. He began participating in the awards from 1982, was appointed an Adjudicator in 2007, a Coordinator in 2008, Chair of the Awards Committee in 2009 and joined the Board in 2010.
Professor Richard Petty FCPA
Deputy Chairman
Richard is Associate Dean and Professor in Management (Accounting & Finance) at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management; Chairman of an investment company headquartered in Hong Kong; Chairman of the Hong Kong Annual Reporting Awards, and he serves on several other Boards. Professor Petty is on the editorial boards of several international journals, and his academic work on the market value impact of voluntary reporting by listed companies has appeared in leading journals. Richard has consulted to many governments and Fortune 500 companies on a range of financial, economic, and strategic issues, particularly with reference to China’s role in the global economy.

Company Secretary
Richard Sanzin was appointed Company Secretary of Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) Limited in 2007. Richard has over 25 years experience in the General Insurance Industry in accounting, operations and senior management roles. He is currently Director and Vice President of the Financial Services Accountants Association. Richard has been involved with the ARA since the late 1990s as an Adjudicator and a Coordinator (2005 - 2011). Richard joined the Board in 2010.
Jo Cain
Jo Cain's career spans 22 years in sustainability. She has a track record of working with top ASX listed companies in the mining and power sectors. Jo specialises in sustainability report development and assurance; sustainability strategy; carbon strategy and auditing; and strategic audit programs. As Business Director - Sustainability at Beca, Jo leads the sustainability business, as well as integrating sustainability and carbon into engineering services. She is Chair of the Banksia Environmental Foundation and is delighted to become an ARA Board Member.
Phil Hughes BSc BA MRRP (Dist)
Phil is a principal consultant at Halcrow where he works in the areas of sustainability, water and environmental management. He has a broad background in public policy with a particular interest in public sector annual and sustainability reporting. He became an adjudicator in 2007 and joined the Board in 2011.
