All organisations in Australia, New Zealand, the Asia-Pacific Region and beyond that prepare an audited annual report are eligible to enter the Australasian Reporting Awards: listed companies, government organisations and not-for-profit bodies, including charities.

Organisations enter the Awards to:

  • Find out how good their annual report is.

  • Be recognised for achieving high standards in transparency and accountability. This relates to building trust and reputation.

  • Learn how to improve their annual reporting processes, content and presentation.

Members of the annual report preparation team benefit from:

  • Receiving recognition for their hard work and their achievements.

  • Enhanced understanding of the annual reporting process and development of their analytical and reporting skills.

Benchmarking

Find out how your annual report stacks up against the ARA best practice reporting criteria and your industry peers. The ARA adjudication process is independent, rigorous, and widely respected.

Your annual report will receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Award (or no award) depending on how well the report satisfies the ARA criteria. Outstanding reports may be further recognised with a Best of Industry Sector Award – and the most outstanding report is selected as the Report of the Year. Entering the Awards shows your stakeholders that your organisation values transparency, accountability, and effective communication.

Expert Feedback

All entrants are eligible to access constructive feedback from an experienced ARA adjudicator. Such personalised advice and guidance helps entrants to expand their understanding of the reporting process, improve their reporting skills, and raise reporting standards.

Many entrants have said “The ARA feedback helped us to completely rethink how to tell our story” ; and “We are pleased by the progress we’ve made.
