Patron - Hugh Morgan
Hugh Morgan is Principal of First Charnock Pty Ltd. Hugh is an Honorary Member of the Business Council of Australia; Trustee Emeritus of The Asia Society New York; Chairman Emeritus of the Asia Society AustralAsia Centre; President of the National Gallery of Victoria Foundation; Chairman of The Order of Australia Association Foundation; Member of the European Australian Business Council; Member of the RAND Australia Advisory Council and Chairman of trueGold Consortium Pty Ltd.
His previous roles have included Member of the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia (1981-1984 and 1996-2007); President of the Business Council of Australia (2003-2005); President of the Australia Japan Business Co-Operation Committee (1999-2006); Joint Chair Commonwealth Business Council 2003-2005; Chief Executive Officer of Western Mining Corporation (1990-2003); Director of Alcoa of Australia Limited (1977-1998 and 2002-2003); a Director of Alcoa Inc. (1998-2001); Director of the Australian Stock Exchange (1982-1989); Member of the Anglo American plc Australian Advisory Board (2006-2014).
Chair - Alan Colegate
The ARA Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Colegate as its new Chair.
In taking on this role Alan thanked outgoing Chair Suresh Cuganesan for his contribution during his tenure and wished him all the best in his new role as Business School Deputy Dean at the University of Sydney.
Alan is an Executive Director with Main Roads Western Australia leading its strategy and communications teams and has been actively involved with the ARA for the last 15 years. Alan has confirmed that he will continue in his current role as one of our Divisional Coordinators and member of the ARA Awards Committee.
In taking on the role Alan said that he is “looking forward to being a part of an organisation that seeks to help identify and promote good practice aimed at transforming how we communicate and report on our annual activities”.
