Criteria Applicable to Special Awards for Excellence

Over recent years, the ARA has successively introduced ‘Special Awards for Excellence’ in reporting. The Governance Reporting Award and Communication Award were introduced in 1998, the ARA Chair’s Award for the Best First-Time Entry in 2000 and the Online Reporting Award in 2007. The Special Award for Integrated Reporting was introduced in the 2013 Awards to recognise, reward and encourage the early leaders in integrated reporting.

The Special Award for Sustainability Reporting changed from the 2019 Awards to a graduated award with Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for sustainability reporting.
