Best of Industry Sector Awards

In 2021, ARA introduced eight Best of Industry Sector Awards to recognise the most outstanding reports in each industry. The winners of these Awards have achieved a standard above and beyond the requirements for receiving a Gold Award. The winner of the ARA Report of the Year Award is selected from the winners of the Industry Sector Awards.

The finalists for the Community and Welfare Sector are:

That’s why it focuses on helping young Australians to overcome educational inequality caused by poverty. Each day, it works with thousands of children and their families to help them unlock better futures for themselves.

The Judges said, “This engaging report excels in detailing the impacts of The Smith Family’s programs with easy-to-understand outcome statistics showing how the community has benefited. Personal stories from beneficiaries and volunteers add compelling narrative about the real-world differences these programs make. Financial reporting of income and expenditure is easy to understand and notably transparent. Such clarity should help to build trust with donors and other stakeholders. “

Rhys Kelly, Head of Communications for The Smith Family accepted the Award from Alan Colegate, ARA Chair.
